About the Mittwoch theme Theme Demo Theme Demo »  Mittwoch

This is an adaptation for Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware of Alexander Hank's freely released Mittwoch theme for Joomla (http://www.ah-68.de). This theme first came to Tiki at version 1.9.8, and has been updated for subsequent Tiki releases. This theme is released under the GNU/LGPL License.

Since the Tiki 3 version, the theme has used the default template files (except for the theme author credits file), and now uses theme options to provide the color variants.

See the page history for older information that is no longer applicable to this theme.

Copy or upload styles/mittwoch.css and the styles/mittwoch/ CSS and images directory to the styles/ directory of your Tiki site.

Copy or upload the templates/styles/mittwoch templates directory to the templates/styles/ directory of your Tiki site. Be sure to remove existing files in templates/styles/mittwoch before adding the latest version's .tpl files, as the old ones aren't necessarily compatible any more and will cause problems if not removed.

Select "mittwoch.css" as the site default theme on the Admin > Look and Feel page, or assign it to objects, categories, etc. with the Theme Control feature.

Module assignments (Tiki 7)

As of Tiki 7, site identity items are displayed using modules; these are some recommended assignments (are supported by the stylesheet to maintain the previous Mittwoch appearance):

logo (nobox=y)
login_box (nobox=y, mode=popup)
menu (nobox=y, type=horiz, id=secondary_site_menu, class=secondary_site_menu)

search (nobox=y)
menu [main "tiki-top" horizontal menu] (nobox=y, id=tiki-top, type=horiz, css=y)

This theme and is offered under the GPL license. This is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation.

This software is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but without any warranty, without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

The original author, Alexander Hank, requests that his work be acknowledged by a link in to his website. This theme version contains a text link in the footer to comply with that request.

luci, 09:13 GMT, Mon 09 of Dec, 2013: logo updated with ®. please do ctrl+F5 refresh...
chibaguy, 06:31 GMT, Thu 16 of May, 2013: Veronica, that star has been eclipsed many times, with Tiki 11.o now soon to rise. ;-)
veronicamarsh, 08:33 GMT, Sun 12 of May, 2013: tikiwiki 2.0 is the star of this weekend. Just follow as we add it to SM dev.
chibaguy, 02:57 GMT, Thu 04 of Oct, 2012: This is a late reply, but, for the record, the Milkyway theme (following the original design) doesn't have a search form in the top bar. You can put one at the top of a side column, etc. instead.
andi6803, 12:20 GMT, Tue 18 of Oct, 2011: I use tiki 6v4 with the Milkyway theme. But it's not possible to switch on the search bar at the top bar. With other themes it works.
